Approach to Therapy
I believe therapy is a tool for growth & healing that gives people an opportunity to discover more about themselves in a safe environment. My approach to therapy is holistic, which looks at the whole person. Meeting mental health needs is important. Our physical, emotional, social, & spiritual wellbeing is also vital to wholeness & healing. It is my goal to foster a warm & therapeutic environment where every client, regardless of background, will feel seen, heard, & understood. My holistic approach to therapy draws on elements of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), emotionally-focused therapy (EFT), & dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT). I operate from an attachment-based, trauma-informed, person-centered lens. This means your relationships are important, your experiences are important, & you are ultimately the expert on your story.
